Expressive Blues Workshop Two - Northampton

Event description

Both workshops are standalone and crafted to enhance your dancing and your perspective when dancing to slower tempo tunes. Each workshop will enhance your interpretation, musicality and connection to the music and your partner.

Connection and Communication
In Workshop one, We will explore how to communicate effectively (speaking without words) within the partnership, through breath work, and shared responsibility for the shape and feeling of your dance. As your dance evolves, Tor will show you how to listen and express yourself within the dance.

Connection and Energy
In Workshop two, we will explore the sharing of energy, one of the many joys of expressive blues. Tor will teach you how to bring the energy to your expressive dance, how to generate, harness, absorb and redirect it. Whether in hold, or at extension Tor will share with you how to use energy through tension, compression, stretch and acceleration, bringing new dynamics to your dancing
