NEWCASTLE - Discovery Museum - Friday Freestyle
Blandford Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4JA
The Discovery Museum is housed in the old Co-operative Society Northern headquarters, and is one of the largest and most popular visitor attractions in the North East.
Designed by Oliver, Leeson and Wood in 1899, the Great Hall is a magnificent wood panelled and tiled room. It has beautiful lanterns added in the Art deco era and wonderful decorative metal arches. The hall will be hosting a one-off Ceroc Freestyle event in December 2019.

Travel and parking information
Discovery Museum is located on the very edge of Newcastle city centre, just off of St. James' Boulevard, making it very easy to get to by both public transport and car.
Discovery Museum is a five minute walk from Newcastle Central station where national and local rail services depart as well as the Tyne & Wear Metro service and local bus services also operate from here. The museum is well signposted from the station. Head west along Neville Street/Westmorland Road and you can't miss us.
There is limited pay and display parking available directly outside the museum in Blandford Square. We advise parking at the Grainger Town multi-storey car park located on Waterloo Street (opposite side of St. James' Boulevard to Discovery Museum).
