Dancing for me is more than just a hobby. It is a massive part of my life which I never knew and thought it would be.
I began my Ceroc journey at just 10 years old. My dad (Simon Fellows) first brought me to a Ceroc freestyle in Birmingham and told me to bring my laptop as he did not want me to get bored. Half way through the night I was asked to dance by a woman and from that point on I was hooked. I went to my first lesson at Burton Town Hall and continued to go every week and went to freestyles almost every weekend!
I was carrying a fair bit of weight at this stage of my life and its safe to say that Dancing has really improved my lifestyle and kept me fit and healthy. I kept dancing as a weekly hobby until I went to watch a Ceroc champs at the age of 14 and that was when I knew I wanted to take my dancing to the next level. I invested more of my time into my dancing and got lessons from the best on the circuit.
I first discovered the Ceroc Escape weekenders at age 18. I can't believe I didn't go to any of these sooner! 72 Hours of dancing is the literal dream. Seeing people from all over the country congregate in one place for a weekend of dancing. It is the highlight of my year.
Dancing for me is more than just a hobby. It is a massive part of my life which I never knew and thought it would be. I have met some amazing people and lifelong friends through dancing and I am now at age 21, competing at several competitions every year and now having a shelf full of trophies and medals, attending all of the dance weekenders which I now even help set up alongside the Ceroc Bulls. My most recent venture in Ceroc would be becoming a DJ. I DJ now at freestyles, class nights and weekenders! The Ceroc South Wales Winter Wonderland Ball and the Southport weekenders have been my favourite places to DJ as of yet.
Ceroc has truly changed my life and i cannot imagine my life without it. I have danced for more than half of my life. That is hard for me to get my head around!« All blogs
