This workshop has been designed to improve your confidence in freestyle dancing. We start by teaching a straightforward key move and then teach you how to vary that move by making small simple changes, adding beginnings or endings to create a huge variety of moves based on a small number of components. This way you do not have to remember a huge catalogue of different moves to get variety in your dancing.
The key moves become infinitely freestyleable and add depth and variety to your dancing. We focus on Connection, Lead and Follow to make sure men lead effectively and ladies follow rather than anticipate!
After attending this workshop the intermediate class is much less daunting and you’ll have a toolkit of techniques you can use every week at your regular class or freestyle.
Before booking this workshop, we recommend you have completed the Beginner Syllabus and either attend a Beginner Improver Workshop or regularly attend an intermediate class.

Colwick Community Centre is situated on the east side of Nottingham about a mile from Nottingham Racecourse.
In Nottingham follow signs to Nottingham Racecourse and continue past it on Daleside Road East (A612). At the second set of traffic lights turn left into Vale Road. The Colwick Community Centre is on your right after 100 yards. Turn right into the car park.
