Are you receptive and creative in your translation of music through movement? Are you aware how to connect with accompanying music, how to interpret it or add phrase and dynamic movement?
In this workshop your specialist teacher Veronika Oliver will teach you the tips and tricks of connection. You will learn the styling that you can add into moves... How to recognise 'light & shade' - the 'patterns' in the music... Learn to listen for patterns and changes in songs that lead movement. Learn to interpret the musical mood, match your dancing style to the music…
Understand the importance of lyrics, patters and rhythm using your own moves and style. Develop your moves to match the style and movement to the music thus illustrating how you apply musicality in dance.

Cost is £30 per person and a place can be secured by contacting either David or Alma.

Travel & Parking information
The workshop will be held at the new Storey's Field Centre, Eddington Avenue, Cambridge, CB3 1AA. which has recently nominated for the Spire award
There is parking on Eddington Avenue which between the Huntington Road and the A1303 (just off M11/A1303 junction)) and is very close to Madingley Park & Ride. Look for signs for Sainsbury's and the Storey's field centre is across the road (Big square building with windows going around the top.) - Sainsbury's is open on Sundays so convenient for picking up lunch and drinks.
Please arrive a little earlier than 11.00 so you can register & we can give you a little tour of the building. There is also secured parking for bikes outside the centre, We will have a banner up so you can spot it where we are.
