First, let’s define the workshop title:
Vintage – denoting something from the past of high quality, especially something representing the best of its kind.
Blues – Simply dancing to blues music and interpreting the attitude of the music through the expression of the movements danced by the partnership. (The Dancer’s Dictionary)
Within this workshop, Ben will teach you a variety of dancing techniques from many different blues families from Juke Joint, Slow Drag to Ballrooming. All concepts and movements will be accessible and easily transferred into your current dancing repertoire. Expect to be challenged by learning diverse footwork patterns, elegant dips and tricks, innovative styling and captivating travelling movements. You’ll with a whole new outlook on slower tempo demo dancing.
Whether you have never tried Blues as a dance form before or if you are just looking for new ideas.
Event timing and prices
This workshop is gender balanced and limited in numbers to ensure maximum teacher time.
The cost is £25pp payable online.
11am - 3pm at Dinas Powys Parish Hall
Travel & Parking information
There is parking outside the venue but its limited so get to the venue early. Additional parking up the road or around the village square. There is a nice sandwich shop for lunch.
