Event description
This blues workshop is a must for anyone that struggles to dance to slower tracks during freestyles, blues rooms or Ceroc weekenders.
Blues dancing draws on your emotional connection with the music while smoothly connecting with your partner. You follow the breaks and shape of the music creating a rhythmic tension between you and your partner which is transferred smoothly and effortlessly between you as you dance.
On this workshop we teach you essential techniques for blues dancing including lead and follow, dynamic breaks and accents, close couple connection as well as a selection of smooth moves.

This workshop is from 12:30pm until 3:30pm, Β£25 per person
There will be short breaks (tea, coffee, juice and biscuits are provided)

Travel & Parking information
Colwick Community Centre is situated on the east side of Nottingham about a mile from Nottingham Racecourse.
In Nottingham follow signs to Nottingham Racecourse and continue past it on Daleside Road East (A612). At the second set of traffic lights turn left into Vale Road. The Colwick Community Centre is on your right after 100 yards. Turn right into the car park.
