Event description
This workshop is designed for follows who want to refine their technique, responsiveness and confidence on the dancefloor. It will help you develop greater connection, control and expression in both class and freestyle dancing.
You will explore connection, frame and weight transfer to understand how movement and signals travel through the body. You will learn to read and respond to signals with clarity and timing, while improving your turns, returns and spins for smooth and confident movement.
There will also be a focus on styling and musicality, helping you add individuality and expression without disrupting the lead.
Expect practical drills, partner rotations and guided freestyle to consolidate what you have learned. By the end of the session you will feel more relaxed, responsive and expressive in your dancing, with a deeper understanding of what true following feels like.

Head north on the A6 (Duffield Road) at the first island go straight across onto Broadway
Carry on until you come to a big island and take the 3rd exit onto the A6 Duffield road
Continue on until you pass a Shell petrol station and take the first left onto Park Lane. Follow this road, The Evergreen Hall will be on your right
From A38:
Follow signs for Allestree, going passed Markeaton Park, don't take the first slip road carry on up the A38 to next exit; the Allestree Palm Court Island
At the roundabout take the second exit onto the A6 Duffield Road, Continue on until you pass a Shell petrol station and take the first left onto Park Lane. Follow this road The Evergreen Hall will be on your right
