Venue description
The Stunning Guest Hall at Alnwick castle is the venue for our Summer Ball in 2020.
Alnwick Castle most recently featured in Transformers: The Last Knight, and as the magnificent Brancaster Castle in Downton Abbey's 2015 and 2016 Christmas specials. Having already featured as Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films, as well as appearing in Elizabeth and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, among others!
The Guest Hall lends a historic atmosphere to our Summer Ball, with its beautifully restored beamed roof and stone archways. The Hall is licensed with its own bar, and there is plenty of room for dancing! We will also have the use of the Castle Courtyard, allowing us to spill out onto the cobbles and mingle within the grand stone walls.

Travel and parking information
Alnwick Castle is less than a mile off the A1 and is well signposted. Please use the postcode NE66 1NG or search for 'The Barbican' this will bring you to the correct side of the castle to enter the Guest Hall. After 6pm there is plenty of free parking around this side of the castle.
The main castle car park is just off Denwick Lane (B1340); the postcode for the car park is NE66 1YU (parking charge is £3 per vehicle for the day and open from 10am during the season. Please note only cash payments are accepted).
