Inclusivity

Ceroc is JOYFUL! It is a chance for friends to gather, socialise, keep themselves fit, learn an exciting new skill and interact with people who share their passion.

As organisers and dancers, we strive to ensure that our events are inclusive, welcoming, safe and enjoyable for all.

The physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of all our members is paramount. Please always consider and demonstrate our following codes of best practice to ensure you and your fellow dancers have noting but the greatest experience with Ceroc.

Inclusivity

At Ceroc, we promote dance as a universal language that transcends all barriers; it brings ALL people together. We are passionately dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone, including individuals of all races, ethnicities, religions, genders, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, and socio-economic backgrounds.

We celebrate the diversity of our community and recognise the importance of representation in our dance style, music and teaching method. Our classes and events are designed to be accessible to brand new Beginners and experienced dancers alike, as well as to individuals with a wealth of unique abilities. We strive to ensure that people from all walks of life feel encouraged to join us.

Through our events, we actively promote an atmosphere where every dancer is respected and valued, and we work to eliminate any barriers to participation. Our commitment to inclusivity extends beyond our dance floor, as we aim to foster understanding, support, and friendship among our members.

If you become a Ceroc member, you commit to joining us in cultivating a community where everyone can feel at home on the dance floor.

Language

Ceroc is not just in the UK, and you can find our International partners by clicking "UK site" at the top of our page in the menu bar.

In the UK, our classes are taught in English, however we frequently welcome those with little or no English language experience through our doors. Not only is our teaching methodology very visual, but our crew are also always on hand to dance with you and offer physical adjustments to help you to understand the movements.

Dance is a language in itself, and we welcome any of our International or travelling friends to our events. Please come and enrich our classes with your presence, and our crew will work extra hard to ensure your dance experience is a positive one.

We have years of experience providing dance events for thousands of people. We have learned many things during our 45 years, all of which have contributed towards making our Ceroc events safe, inclusive and supportive for all.

That said, we recognise that there are always more things that we can learn to enhance and develop our practices. If you have any suggestions that would make you (or someone you know) feel more welcome and comfortable at one of our events, we would love to share the discussion at tim@ceroc.com.

Many thanks for your continued support and sensitivity.
